Country Name Norfolk Island.
Norfolk Island is a small island in the Pacific Ocean, located off the coast of Australia. It is set between New Zealand and New Caledonia.
The flag of the Norfolk Islands was approved by the Norfolk Island Council on 6 June 1979. The flag became official on 17 January 1980.
The flag is composed of three vertical stripes of green, white & green colors with a large green Norfolk Island pine tree centered in the white stripe.
The green color represents the rich vegetation on the island,
and the pine tree - endemic to the island - is a symbol of Norfolk Island.
- The flag of Norfolk islands is similar to the flag of Canada with its use of only two colors and depiction of a prominent local floral symbol in the central white band.
-Also the flag is similar in colors to the green and white triband of Nigeria.
